Japan’s hardware and software charts for July 7-13
Japan‘s Media Create has come out with its latest report on the sales figures of all things gaming in the country. Handhelds, as usual, dominated the charts, but the PlayStation 2 still had a big say in the software category. The complete stats are listed in the full article up ahead.
Japan‘s Media Create has released the latest weekly sales figures for gaming software and hardware in the country. Handhelds are still dominating the platform scene, but as far as software goes, the PlayStation 2 showed that it still had plenty of selling power.
Persona 4 by Atlus made quite a splash with almost 200,000 units sold. Nintendo DS titles are still coming on strong as well as a few of the Wii’s biggest releases.
In any case, here are last week’s sales figures:
Hardware top ten:
1. PSP- 56,998
2. Nintendo DS- 48,540
3. Wii- 41,798
4. PS3- 12,458
4. PS2– 10,405
5. Xbox 360- 3,807
Software top ten:
1. Persona 4 (PS2)- 193,000
2. Wii Fit– 30,000
3. Densetsu no Starfi Taketsu- 29,000
4. Mario Kart Wii– 25,000
5. Daigasso Band Brothers- 23,000
6. Biohazard Zero- 21,000
7. Derby Stallion DS – 20,000
8. Hanayori Dango: Koi Seyo Onago- 20,000
9. Gegege no Kitarou: Youkai Daigekisen- 16,000
10. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G- 16,000
