About every gaming news site went hot yesterday after what appeared to be leaked photos of a “PS3 Slim” spread all over the net. IGN got in touch with a US GameStop merchandising rep, and now they have more info regarding the new PS3.
So says IGN:
Today, we received word that a trustworthy US GameStop employee discussed the matter with a Sony merchandizing representative. When the leaked photos were brought up in private conversation, the merchandizing representative was immediately surprised that the photos were “released already,” but then hastily dismissed the subject when the rep realized that it was regarding a rumor.
Well, the photos weren’t “released,” but judging from his reaction, they have something to hide. So yesterday’s PS3 Slim pics might be closer to the truth after all.
