There’s a supposedly leaked document going around that contains the minutes of an August 5 meeting between Sega and Sony. The two things mention above were just two of the most interesting topics covered in the meeting.
Another thing that sounds very promising is a special Japanese Import Section that would feature Japanese games. The price points for these are still tentative but the notes mention something in the range of US$ 9.99 to US$ 39.99 for full games.
Speaking of imports, the Yakuza series was also talked about during the meeting. The notes seem a bit fishy on this one instance, however, as it mentions that Sony is interested in helping to market the game “if they can have period of exclusivity.” Why would Sony still ask for exclusivity when the whole series has only been on PlayStations?
A possible PSP bundle for something called “Valkyria 1937” was also mentioned. An internal name for Valkyria Chronicles 2, maybe? What seems more concrete is that Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be getting a US release, as the minutes mention a GameStop bundle that could be done for the UMD release and the PSP Go.
Anyway. The notes were spotted on Sega of America’s FTP site but have been subsequently pulled. You can check out the NeoGAF thread sourced below for the full minutes.
