Sega does not waste any time. Literally a day after announcing that Yakuza 3 will be headed to the West in March 2010, the publisher has now announced that Yakuza 4 is coming to the East also in March 2010.

Okay, just a bit of review here. Yakuza 3 will be coming to the US, Europe and Australia in a yet-to-be-dated March 2010 release window, while Yakuza 4 will be heading to the East on the specific date of March 18, 2010. Given that it took almost exactly a year before Yakuza 3 was polished enough to be shipped out to Western shores (it was released in Japan on February 26, 2009), I say it’s safe enough to posit that Yakuza 4 will be coming to the West in 2011, if ever it will.

It is said that it was the “lengthy localization work” that features English subtitles which caused the long delay of Yakuza 3‘s Western release.
