Great news, PC gamers! Blizzard’s big boss Mike Morhaime has announced that the StarCraft 2 beta test is set to begin later this month.

Speaking at the Activision Blizzard’s fourth quarter earnings conference call,  Mohaine said that they will begin the multiplayer beta test this month and it will be available to participants across various countries. The publisher also noted that the long awaited game is still on track for a mid-2010 release and it will be available in Blizzard’s newly upgraded online service, Battle.net.
