Konami’s Saw game is getting a sequel

Konami has announced that their Saw videogame is getting a sequel simply called Saw 2. Despite the name, it’s not based on the events in the second Saw movie.

Konami has announced that their Saw videogame is getting a sequel simply called Saw 2.

Zombie Studios, the studio behind the first Saw, is back on board for the sequel. Jigsaw’s back too, of course, and Konami is promising “all-new stomach-twisting traps and puzzles, more visceral combat, and an all-new storyline” in Saw 2.

Despite the name, it’s not based on the events in the second Saw movie. The game instead takes place between the second and third movies, with Detective Tapp’s estranged son Michael trying to understand his father’s death and ending up facing Jigsaw and his demented traps.

Saw 2 will come out on PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall.
