David Jaffe’s been known to speak out his mind about… well, anything but his super secret project. After calling the game sharing feature of the PSN “horse sh*t”, the famed game director is now giving his two cents on EA’s decision to launch premium demos, which gamers have to pay for.
David Jaffe’s been known to speak out his mind about… well, anything but his super secret project. After calling the game sharing feature of the PSN “horse sh*t”, the famed game director is now giving his two cents on EA’s decision to launch premium demos, which gamers have to pay for.
A bit of the backstory here first. Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli spoke out earlier this week regarding EA’s plan to have paid demos, veering away from the traditional route of making them available for free. Of course, fans of the outspoken gaming industry personality wanted to hear what he had to say about all this.
His response via his Twitter:
“If u pay for it, it’s not a demo. The idea of paying for something SMALLER than the retail verion, like a tast that is MORE than a demoo and less than a retail product I’m ok with. But it ain’t a demo.”
EA sure stirred things up good with that one.
