Best Buy says iPhone coming to a different carrier; doesn’t specify which
Let’s face it – some people don’t want to get an iPhone for themselves just because of the horrible carrier choice, and by choice we mean just AT&T. Many complain of slow data speed, poor signal, and bad coverage. Although AT&T has promised to solve some of these problems, some people just don’t want all the fake talk, just a carrier that works. Apparently, that’s now going to be an option.

A Best Buy spokesperson stated to a customer that an alternative carrier can be available as soon as in two weeks. He says that they’re not allowed to reveal which carrier just yet, but that it is something that will happen. It does seem shady but then again why would Best Buy lie about something. Remember, it’s in their best interest to keep the customers satisfied and hungry for a device to make them some dough.
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to that June announcement and possibly a new carrier. It’s also a bit peculiar that AT&T decided to hike up their cancellation fees to $325 starting June 1. The carrier wars are about to get ugly. You can read the Best Buy response below.
