3DS design is now pretty much final
When the 3DS was unveiled at E3, Nintendo explicitly mentioned that the handheld’s design was still not final. Considering the amount of change that the first DS went through before launch, that was something to take heed of. But now, it seems that that’s going to be how the 3DS will look.

Asked by Wired about the finality of the 3DS appearance, Nintendo’s Hideki Konno confirmed, “You can take this as the final shape”. As far as that goes, however, there may still be small adjustments here and there, especially with how the insides will be built.
All things said, appearance-wise, that’s pretty much it.
