Adam Thole’s *wireless* tilt-sensing controller mod

Adam Thole is back with an update to his tilt-sensing controller mod. The last time we saw him, he had finished his project on the modification. It was indeed a long process (not to mention littered with a lot of technical jargon), but in the end, he was able to get it to work.

This time, he’s modded his mod, so to speak, so that the tilt-sensing function could be brought to a wireless 360 controller. Not only that. He’s also added a feature in which you can switch the input for the controller. Now, he can transfer from using the tilt-sensing to left-analog for directional control. He used a V3 tiltBoard for the mod, and for those interested in having this kind of baby for your console, he’s leaving you with two options.

  1. You can buy the tiltboard online and wait for his how-to video, which he’ll post some time soon
  2. You can buy an actual controller made by himself, as seen in this video

The Wii may have its Wiimote. As for the 360, this could probably be as good as it gets. Will Microsoft hire this guy in the near future? Hmmm…
