Another 10 worst games of all time list

SCMRPG - kill 'em pixlesEmru Townsend has an article up over at PC World where he lists the top ten worst games of all time. Yeah, we’ve seen many similar lists before, so this is nothing new. Probably the most popular “worst of” list that’s floating around in the intertubes right now is the one made by GT, but that’s probably because the thing is a video and it is in YouTube. So what makes PC World’s list stand out? What makes it newsworthy? Well let’s have a look.

Worst of mainstays like Custer’s Revenge and Atari‘s E.T make a showing, but what’s nice about Townsend’s list is that he makes mention of Super Columbine Massacre RPG.

Apparently, some guy named Danny Ledonne decided that making a game of the then controversial shootings will contribute something positive to the community. Ledonne says that the game “asks more of its audience than rudimentary button-pushing and map navigation; it implores introspection.”

Well, whether or not the game did something constructive is still up for debate, but as a game that should be fun and enjoyable, SCMRPG is far from a success.

Another notable title that made it into his top ten of all time was Prince of Persia The Warrior Within. We all know that the game had is issues, but to make it into an “of all time” list? Surely it’s not worse than a whole lot of other “bad” games out there.

Sorry fan-boys, no next-gen games made it into the list (but you probably want to volunteer a few titles). Oh, and a big sorry to all the tasteful PSP fans out there, the horrific Dave Mirra title didn’t make it into the list either.
