Anti-Piracy MPH Game Loader on the way?
The highly controversial Game Loader from MPH made waves over a week ago when it allowed 1.50 PSP owners to play 2.0 firmware required games such as Grand Theft Auto. The problem? The Game Loader needed you to use copied backup of the game(s) in order to work. I’m sure there were many people who used this program AND owned the game they were playing, but on the whole this was just an open invitation to pirating GTA and several other 2.0 titles.
Today, MPH announced that he had successfully loaded GTA from a UMD using his Game Loader bringing a sigh of relief to those who try to discourage UMD piracy. It was sad to see a significant program like this be slighted because of it’s darker implications, but being able to play straight from the UMD would make this groundbreaking achievement much more acceptable and be a more positive influence on the PSP Community. You can expect the new MPH Game Loader to be released after a few of the bugs involving multiplayer action have been cleaned up.
