Army of Two delayed to early 2008
Reuters reports that Electronic Arts has decided to delay Army of Two to early next year. Army of Two was originally slated for a November 15 release for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 home video game consoles.
According to the Reuters reports, EA said that more time is needed to polish the game. EA Games head Frank Gibeau was quoted in a statement saying, “Army of Two has potential to become a lasting EA franchise — so getting the first title right is essential.”
“It’s an important game for them if they hope to establish it as a franchise,” said Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter. “It shouldn’t have much of an impact, but the market always seems to assume the worst about the company.”
