Army of Two Screenshots Update
This game looks good. It really does. Not only does it evoke the childhood memories of Contra (I feel old now), it looks set to breathe new life to an overdone, overplayed, ‘army combat’ genre. Like it or not, there’s a whole lot of them out there.
We’ve shown you screens before of Electronic Arts‘ Army of Two (for the PS3 and for the Xbox 360), and from what this writer could tell from those pics, the lighting looked amazing, the details were nice and all that. So we’re giving you folks more screens for you to nitpick/dissect/observe and what-not
Be sure to check out the water effects. It seems like they’re putting a lot of effort into making the water physics and reflections on water surfaces accurate. The guns have good detail on them and the textures and the light effects are pretty decent. The edges of the ocean waves are a bit “jaggy” though, and the pixels are especially noticeable in contrast with the sky, not as crisp as say the water puddles on land. Perhaps the ocean looks better in motion or something.
That huge picture above is a preview of the weapons upgrade feature by the way. Below are some of the rest of the screens. Are the details on the guns good enough? Is the sea-foam a bit off? Let us know.
The rest of the images after the jump!
