Atlus has just sent out a press release for a new RPG they’re planning to release next year, titled Baroque. The game has you playing as a yet-to-be-named hero who’s lost his memory, in a futuristic world (2032, to be exact) beset by an apocalypse known as “The Blaze.”
Guided along by a mysterious entity with red pupils and angel wings, you must then go on a journey to the Neuro Tower, where repentance for your unnamed sin, and for the world, await.
No other details for this game have been provided for yet, with its official site still under construction. From what we’ve picked up from the trailer video and screenshots, however, the game appears to be a hardcore dungeon-crawler, with a combat system akin to Bandai’s .Hack (pseudo-) MMORPG franchise.
More details and the video for Baroque are available at the game’s official site. We’ll also be treating you to a whole slew of screenshots while you’re here. Expect Baroque to hit the Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii systems by February 2008. Check back in case additional game details are announced.
