ATOMIX unpacks Wii
Some people are just luckier than others – like the writers of the monthly Mexican videogame magazine ATOMIX. Just peek at the look on their faces as they open up their Wii console, which they received directly from Nintendo for testing. It is the final version of Wii and not some prototype, with the images below mirroring what will be happening in a few week’s time when Wii is released all over the world. Isn’t it nice to see people happy? I’d still like to be the one playing with the Wii though!
The images show every aspect of Ninty’s next-gen console: from receiving the delivery and eagerly opening the parcel to unboxing the tiny console, getting to work with the electronic stuff (plugging in all the wires, etc.), and finally the fun part – which, of course, involves the hands-on Wiimote. I looks like the guys at ATOMIX were so excited they even forgot to read the instruction manual! You even get a sneaky peak at the interface here, with important features such as the date screen, keyboard input, and even face input shown. And yes, the face modelling screen does remind us faintly of “Guess Who?”
