Australia’s Super Paper Mario gets a release date
A recent press wire for Nintendo’s Australia chapter reveals several bits of good news, at the forefront of which is the Wii’s latest sales numbers, and a confirmed release date for Super Paper Mario.
Beginning with the first topic (skip to the last paragraph if you’re after Paper Mario) Nintendo Australia was happy to report that their console had just hit the 100,000 mark, bringing it up to the title of the fastest selling console in the region.
“We are pleased that Wii has achieved this benchmark, but we are ecstatic that it attained this whilst also reaching new audiences and expanding the scope of our entire industry,” said Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing, regarding the sales. The Wii console was earlier reported to have hit the 8 million mark in worldwide sales.
As for the news you’ve been waiting for – Nintendo Australia is letting the fans know that Super Paper Mario‘s Australian release is scheduled for this September, alongside Super Swing Golf PANGYA. Now, in case this date seems far off for the console owners, other games that are expected to land earlier are Resident Evil 4 on July 5, and Mario Party 8 on July 19.
