BioWare: Mass Effect going multi-platform afterall
BioWare confirmed that Mass Effect will still be going multi-platform despite reports of BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka stating the title’s exclusivity for the Xbox 360 in a recent interview found in Australian 360 magazine. Confused? Read our full article and see how this contradictory puzzle works its way out.
A supposed article found on the latest issue of Australian 360 magazine wrote about an interview with BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka, who said that the company was committed “to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360″. However, a recent statement released by a BioWare representative confirmed that this statement was incorrect, and that the exclusivity of the title on the Xbox 360 was not mentioned by Muzyka at all.
The clarification of the interview found on N4G arrived after GameDaily BIZ contacted BioWare and got the official word from one of their reps. According to BioWare’s official statement: “This site is incorrect; Ray did NOT make any such statement regarding any exclusivity plans for the Mass Effect trilogy”.
Since then, the site which posted the report has retracted its statement regarding Mass Effect‘s exclusivity to the Xbox 360. It only makes sense since Electronic Arts, renowned for its multi-platform distribution, picked the title up from the hands of BioWare and Pandemic.
There’s been no word so far when Mass Effect will be making its way on the other platforms, but we’ll be sure to report any updates as soon as we get them.
