Blade Dancer Hits Japan, US Soon.
Blade Dancer is a group of adventurers led by the warrior Lance who hails from the land of Foo (thankfully not poo) to dispute the war-crazed return of a wicked knight in his plan to sow more terror in the land. Not a new story actually. Its the typical good versus evil cliche. A demon empire against a bunch of heroes story line.
Exploration of the environment in Blade Dancer is not new to third-person RPG but a new element of adventure is quite noticeable in this game as it introduces a new targeting system that will place a little icon on any character or environmental you wish to perform an action on. Simply put, any simple task like talking to a character, going through the door, or pick up an item requires the simple act of just hit repeatedly a certain button here and thereto reveals instructions or next course of actions to take.Once in the combat scene, you won’t expend magic point when executing a special attack but you’ll draw from a store of “luna points” that continues in every battle. Both you and the enemy can draw from this luna point so there is no reason for you to be stingy in using special attacks.
Blade Dancer comes together with typical Japanese anime characters but it would be have been more visually entertaining if details were added to the various levels designs since the environment can be little plain and ordinary. Dialogues and texts are all in Japanese so if you want an English version, seat back for a while and wait till July.
