Blazing Lazers coming to VC on May 21
Hudson’s 1989 TurboGrafx16 title Blazing Lazers has finally been given a release date for the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console. According to the U.S. Virtual Console website, this classic shooter will be available come May 21.
Blazing Lazers is a space shooter based on the Japanese film Gunhed – a live-action mecha film from 1989 – and was released in Japan as Gunhed. The game has nine levels of non-stop shooting action and has been hailed by critics as the best shooter to come out in 1989.
As we earlier reported, Blazing Lazers will be available for 600 Wii Points. Click on the “via” link below for the VC version’s control scheme as well as a look at some of the power ups that you can grab while shooting through hordes of space critters.
