Blizzard at LanWar

wowBlizzard Software, creator of the popular World of Warcraft, has announced that it will be participating in the LanWar Event, to be held in Louisville, Kentucky next month, June 15-18.

This event is the first round in the World Series of Video Games. Blizzard will host tournaments and contests for Starcraft, Warcraft II, and especially its flagship product, WoW. This is the place to bring your own PC and join your guild, clan and other compatriots over a huge Local Area Network set up especially for the occasion – and rumor has it that some very cool (even AWESOME) prizes are at stake. In addition, people from Blizzard games will be on hand to answer questions and just “hang out.”

Blizzard will be hosting a number of tournaments and events of their own during LanWar. Some of the events planned  include a Fast leveling Contest, Warsong Gulch Meatgrinder, a 2v2 Tournament, a Stratholm Race and Defense of the Ancients.
