Blizzard: no details on more non-combat pets in WoW, but there are plans

Poster Ashanial in the World of Warcraft forums recently posted a very good suggestion about non-combat pets. Of course, while it’s much more of a want for a differently-colored whelpling that’s a non-combat pet, it does raise a few questions on whether or not Blizzard is planning to put in more creatures that you’ll be able to tame and take care for in the digital realms of World of Warcraft. After all, going solo can sometimes be lonely.

Thankfully, Blizzard poster Bornakk was there with the prompt answer, and while he didn’t really reveal anything new or give away a hint, he did get our spirits up. His post, unedited and as is:

We currently donÂ’t have any finalized details to share regarding non-combat pets that we will add to the game. But we do plan to continue putting these fun companions into the world for players to look for and add to their petting zoo. 🙂

There you have it. There’s no battle plan hammered out yet, but there are plans to. Here’s hoping that we do get more non-combat pet types that we can all dote on and show off to our guildmates.
