Bungie answers questions about Halo 3. New Halo 3 wallpapers too!

Bungie, the guys behind the legendary game Halo took some time off to answer loads of questions regarding Halo 3. Some of them, quite irrelevant and funny. The rest give a lot of info about the storyline, the gameplay and other stuff. Plus, they’ve released two new Halo 3 wallpapers. And they’re effin awesome!

I’ve uploaded thumbnails of the two wallpapers. Clicking them will take you to the download page on Bungie’s site. Remember, if you have a 360, stick this on a USB drive or an iPod and you can make it the wallpaper on your 360 too.

Halo 3 : Return of Chief / Halo 3 : Finish The Fight

Here’s an excerpt of the interview:

Aust Grunt asks, “Hey Frankie, Loved the Trailer… Can Marty release the MP3?…”
Bungie – I have asked Marty to look into it. There’s some complications surrounding that which mean it isn’t as straightforward as it sounds, but Marty hasn’t ruled it out either.

xTr1GGeR HaPPYx asks, “I’m guessing those ruins in the back are Old New Mombasa, so, whereabouts is the Chief and this Forerunner structure?”
Bungie – That is indeed the ruins of New Mombasa. The artifact and the Chief are where they appear to be, on the desert outskirts of New Mombasa, and many miles inland. The mountain behind him is Kilimanjaro.

llDwells55Xll asks, “What’s the polygon count on the characters and environments in comparison to Halo 2?”
Bungie – Not as high as it looks. A lot of detail is achieved using a combination of lighting, textures, normals and bump-maps. We’re saving our polygon budget for other thingsÂ…
