Capcom to focus on PS3, but still plans to go multiplatform
According to Japan‘s Corporate News Network (JCN), Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto told Jiji Press that the company will focus on developing games for the Sony PlayStation 3 when 2008 comes. That isn’t to say we’re going to see a parade of exclusives though, because he also said Capcom plans to maximize profit through multiplatform development.
Looks like we can count on less PS2 titles from Capcom starting next year, but most of the goodies we have been waiting for are coming to next-gen consoles anyway – Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 are two big names and they’re all appearing on both the Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. We’d pray for Phoenix Wright in high-def 3D, but what are the chances of that?
