More T. Hawk goodness after the jump!
Street Fighter 2 veterans will likely remember a Native American grappler with an unorthodox special move set by the name of T. Hawk. This time around, Capcom has focused the spotlight on the originally low-tier character in the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix (PS3, Xbox 360) section of the Capcom blog.
According to game design theorist David Sirlin, T. Hawk is considered to be one of the weakest fighters the original Street Fighter 2 Turbo, but is also full of deadly potential. It’s this potential the Capcom hopes to explore with various tweaks to T. Hawk in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix.
Sirlin pointed out that the most prominent changes that Capcom has made to T.Hawk involve a new, more forgiving command input for the Thunder Slam and better recovery on T. Hawk’s aerial dive maneuver. With these and other tweaks in place, controlling the hulking American Indian will feel like a whole new experience for Street Fighter 2 fans.
