That’s right, it’s that fast. You’d want to mark the 12th of May on your calendars, cos this is when Race Mission lands. So what is Race Mission? It’s basically a mode that pits two teams (RED vs BLUE) against each other. The Red Team’s mission is to search for and protect the GA-KO target, while the Blue Team’s is the KEROTAN target.

There are checkpoints that you’ll have to go through, and for each one that you pass with your acquired target, a new one will surface. Do note that you’ll have to tread carefully, though, cos one misstep can cause you a lot of hassle. How hassling is it? If you drop your target, and you fail to get it back within the prescribed period, then you’ll have to go looking for your target again (which by that time has moved to another position, by the way, and have your checkpoint changed again.

And there’s another date to mark, too, which would be the 26th of May. This time, it’s for a new feature called “Patriot”, which will allow the few, lucky selected players access to a 5.56mm Hand Rifle “with infinite ammunition and no reload”. How sweet is that!

The players will be selected on a lucky drew every week starting from the 26th, so it’s just gonna go on and on until the next ranking update. But don’t worry, these new goodies are open to all players.

If you’re wondering why they’re giving out all these cool stuff, that’s because in case you forgot, the one-year anniversary of Metal Gear Solid 4‘s launch is drawing near. You know what that means…

Expect more goodies to come!
