Carcassonne for the Xbox Live Arcade screens

Carcassonne, the tile-based German-style board game is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade. Carcassonne for the XBLA would put you in a situation wherein the countryside thrives as you and your opponents battle wits to strategically place your tiles, complete towns, roads, and farms while obtaining the most points.

Features of the XBLA title are special AI settings that would pose a challenge to any skill level, up to four players on one Xbox 360 or five players on Xbox Live, and a step-by-step tutorial for the uninitiated. Other features include:

  • The complete Carcassonne-72 tiles and all rule sets
  • Includes the Rivers I expansion tile set
  • Automatically updated scoring system for quick reference to your current status
  • Dynamic 3D visuals and particle effects reinvent the classic board game
  • Based on the 2001 Winner of the Spiel des Jahres
