Chopin as a bishie: Japan’s Eternal Sonata character video
There are two thing you gotta love about Japan RPGs – good music, and good voice casts. We’ll be taking another look at Namco Bandai‘s Trusty Bell (aka Eternal Sonata) game for the Xbox 360, by way of a recently released character video. While most of the video’s text is in Japanese, viewers will be happy to know part of the text has been conveniently left in English – consider this a formal introduction to the names behind the faces…and a teaser to the game’s enchanting music.
Other interesting detail we’d like to point out is the voice cast. Chopin’s is voiced by anime seiyu Mitsuaki Madono, whom anime fans will probably remember for his role as Kon in Bleach, or as Sorata Arisugawa from X-TV. Polka, Eternal Sonata‘s lead female, is voiced by Aya Hirano, best known for her work as the seiyu of Haruhi Suzumiya, from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime.
Time will tell if Eternal Sonata‘s North America release will receive equal treatment in its voice cast (David Hayter as Chopin? Hmmm…). The game and its limited edition 360 pack are expected to launch in Japan this June 14, with the launch date for North America still pending.
