Chromehounds Producers Interview
Today IGN had a interview with Justin Lambros, Producer at SEGA of America and Toshifumi Nabeshima, Chief Producer at FromSoftware about their upcoming game Chromehounds, SEGA’s mech squad-based action game, for the Xbox 360. The game currently is set to drop on June 27, 2006 so it looks like we won’t have to wait too much longer for some giant-mech fun on our next gen system. Many questions were asked by IGN during the interview such as:
IGN: When we played the game last year at X05 in Amsterdam, the game controlled well but appeared to have some graphical issues, are those being worked on?
Toshifumi Nabeshima: The version we showed at X05 was very early at that point. We have since fixed the graphical issues as well as added a load of new content. The latest build has been greatly improved and I’m confident you’ll be impressed with all the improvements the team has been working hard on.
The game looks to be shaping up pretty well and Toshifumi has this to state about the actual gameplay:
In the single-player mode, the player is dispatched as a mercenary to… three countries, which are on the eve of war to complete the six scenarios. Through this mode, the player can understand each background of the respective countries, and it leads to the Online mode where the three nations fight against each other in full scale. The parts the player has obtained in the single-player mode can be transferred to the multi-player mode as they are.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Chromehounds when it comes out early this summer for all those who need to be in a giant robot to have their gaming bliss.
