What is “Cloudsurf”? No, it’s definitely not a new peripheral for your consoles that will allow aerial surfing. It’s actually the latest trademark filed by SCEJ, which suspiciously points another finger towards paid PSN subscriptions.

Trademarked on December 28, 2009, “Cloudsurf” was described to be for “game services” and “entertainment services” via the Internet. Included under its umbreall are: games, audio, video content, “electronic publications,” radio, and TV.

So far, there’s nothing in its fact sheet to indicate any groundbreaking feature that’s gonna be exclusive to Cloudsurf, and the features it enlists are basically the same ones we’re already currently enjoying on the PSN.

Then again, there’s obviously more to it than meets the eye, so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for that. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
