Command & Conquer Gold free until October 3

Electronic Arts has put on quite a nice celebration for the 12th anniversary of its Command & Conquer franchise. One of the highlights is the free Command & Conquer full game download. Now, the special Command & Conquer Gold edition is also available and it can be yours only until October 3, 2007.

The Gold Edition shares the same storyline with some added features that enrich the gameplay. Command & Conquer fans will be able to tell what those are exactly as they rediscover the origins of the GDA and Brotherhood of Nod’s long-running feud.

Command & Conquer Gold was released shortly after the first Command & Conquer under developer Westwood. Westwood was then acquired by EA, and the rest, as they say, is history.
