Dawn of Magic character development info
Last month we gave you screens and a trailer of Deep Silver’s upcoming title, Dawn of Magic. To make you more excited about the game, here’s a juicy piece of news: the game actually has an extensive character morphing system. This means that a character played in Dawn of Magic will gradually adapt the appearance of its avatar to match the acquired skills and the spells that the player has employed. Ain’t that cute?
Deep Silver says that for example, when a player plays Earth Magic, twigs may sprout from his shoulders later in the game, until eventually he ends up looking like a walking tree. These sorts of effects may be combined in many different ways producing not only visual results, but some bonuses and penalties as well. For example, a character who is well experienced in using electricity spells may have an advantage over Air Magic, but may be vulnerable to Water Magic; sort of like the Pokemon battle types, we reckon.
Not only could you turn an avatar into walking trees, but may also have other appearances as well, like sprout bat wings, or angel wings, or turn into a suit of armor, according to their experience and configuration. Here are some pictures to give you a better idea. The game is scheduled to be released first quarter of this year.
