Deal: Buy a Blu-Ray player, get five free movies

 With the Blu-Ray DVD format experiencing exceptionally strong support and sales lately, it looks like the distributors have decided to share the wealth.

The Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) is letting out word that they’re going to be offering a promo next month that entitles purchasers of a Blu-Ray player (including the PlayStation 3) to five free Blu-ray movies to go with the player.

Slap on the similar promos that have been sprouting up on sites like Amazon and Best Buys, and you can imagine why the format’s outselling HD-DVD by a factor of five to one.
