Aside from continuing the LotRO tradition of really long product names, Book 10: The City of the Kings brings with it a huge overhaul to the Ettenmoors keep system. The update also comes with over forty new quests, all of which will affect the forces defending or assailing the different keeps available in the game.

One of the many cool things in the update is that players will be able to log directly into their monster player character straight from the character selection screen by clicking on the Monster Play button. This feature will be activated upon reaching level 10.

Also, check out the new elite troops: Trolls and Rangers. These two elite troops will give players a whole lot of power when playing under their guise, but at a price, of course. There’s also talk of a new monster play class: the Orc Shaman. No details yet, but it might make it to Book 10. Barring that, inclusion in Book 11 is a safe bet.
