Developers React to Wii

I’m sure some of you are sick of Wii, but it’s the biggest story out there at the moment and it’s obvious why Nintendo didn’t do it at the show itself. Must mean they have some truly awesome stuff. Wii looks like it’s bigger than even a PS3 price or release date at this point… Anyway, developers have been weighing in with opinions over at Gamasutra, and it looks like they’re all thinking the same thing. That Nintendo is nuts to go with such a crazy name, but that it shouldn’t affect too much. They’re more puzzled at what in the world the marketing team was thinking rather than how it will affect sales. They don’t absolutely hate the name, but they’re not exactly happy with it. Meelad Sadat, Director of Business Relations at High Moon Studios, says exactly what I’ve been thinking, “It’s telling when a product name needs a 150-word explanation.
