Devil May Cry 4 will not have downloadable content, says DMC4 producer

Updating console games with downloadable content is the norm with next-gen console nowadays, but will extra gaming content be an important factor to make games even more enjoyable? For Hiroyuki Kobayashi, producer of Devil May Cry 4 (PC, Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360), putting out extras aside from the content readily available in the game disc may not be necessary in making the latest iteration of the demon-slaying franchise more appealing and exciting to gamers.

“With DMC4, we feel that we have created a game that has a huge amount of content right out of the box without the need to download extra content,” Kobayashi said about about the issue.

Fans of the series need not let the absence of extras dampen the game, however. After all, Kobayashi made sure that Devil May Cry 4 will surpass all of its predecessors.
