DSi spells 3 million units sold in Japan
A mere eight months after its November 1, 2008 release in Japan, the Nintendo DSi zooms far ahead of every other platform to ring up a total of 3,062,920 units sold as of August 2, 2009. Enterbrain released the figures, as reported by Famitsu.

The newest member of the DS family has been consistently lording over the top, not only of Japan’s sales charts, but also around the globe. The company’s latest quarterly financial report released last week showed that the DSi has so far garnered 3.65 million sales worldwide, for the past three months, ending June 30th.
The DSi went abroad to claim some more international success last April 2009, therefore putting the global sales at a high 6.68 million units, life-to-date.
