Credit that to marketing, or Nintendo’s release strategy, but at the very least, the DSi XL sold that many units its March 28 release. The number may not be skyrocketing compared to the others we’ve seen at Day one, but the handheld barely saw a week on its first month.

The DSi XL came out in Japan as DSi LL back in November 2009, while Europe got the new handheld only last March 5th. So does a supersized new handheld make it good with those numbers on the first week?
