Yes folks, the title you’re reading above is true. Square Enix president Yoichi Wada just announced it at the Microsoft E3 conference to a frenzy of applause.
Here’s a roundup of what happened during Yoichi Wada’s talk:
- Wada talks about the strong partnership that’s been forged between Microsoft and Square Enix, then goes to talking about the upcoming RPG lineup in store for the Xbox 360.
- Wada discusses Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant and Star Ocean: The Last Hope.
- Infinite Undiscovery confirmed for September 2 in North America, September 5 in Europe, September 11 in Japan.
- Star Ocean: The Last Hope will be out Spring 2009, with a gameplay trailer to go up on the Marketplace later.
- The Last Remnant will head to Xbox 360 on November 20. It will also be heading to the PC, but no launch date has been announced yet.
- Folks are given the impression that Wada is leaving, as Don Mattrick starts speaking, but Yoichi interrupts with one more announcement.
- The announcement is Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360, complete with trailer.
According to all accounts, the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will coincide with the release of the PS3 version. As to when that’ll be however, it has yet to be announced. Keep checking QJ for more updates from the Microsoft E3 conference.
