After unveiling the biggest games and hardware at E3 2010, the Electronic Entertainment Expo is once again going to the books. By “books”, I mean the Guinness World Records, specifically.

Top publishers in the industry received recognition for various feats during the expo, and they’ll all be honored in the Guinness World Records 2010 Gamer’s Edition.

- Best Selling Soccer Video Game Franchise: FIFA, with more than 68 million copies sold
- Earliest Console Sports MMO: NHL 09
- Longest Running Sports Game Franchise: Madden NFL
Microsoft
- Best-selling High-Definition Video Game Console: Xbox 360, sold an estimated of 40 million units as of March 31, 2010.
Sony
- Most user-generated levels: LittleBigPlanet (2,463,073)
- Best Selling PS3 platform game: Uncharted 2
- Most Players in a Console FPS: MAG
Sega
- Most Critically Acclaimed Strategy RPG for the PS3: Valkyria Chronicles
- First Fighter to Use 3D Polygon Graphics: Virtua Fighter
