Europe PS3 Platinum Range confirmed by Sony, details muddy
If you’re one of the many who missed one of the many triple-A titles that came out during the Sony PlayStation 3’s lifetime, then good news: the oft-rumored Platinum Hits range for the Cell Processor-powered beast has now been confirmed, and we’ve got a list of titles that will make the first cut into your wallet. Check out all the details in the full article.
It’s finally been confirmed: the Sony PlayStation 3 will be getting its very own Platinum Hits range, and it’s not going to be just Japan that gets a piece of the action. Yes, you read that right – the company will be re-releasing some of the finest games to be unleashed on its console as Platinum Hits.
This was confirmed by none other than Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), but other than that, the company hasn’t confirmed anything else – not even the list of titles that Jeux-France reported will be part of the Platinum range itself.
What titles did Jeux-France cite, though? Here they are, in no particular order:
- MotorStorm
- Heavenly Sword
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Formula One Championship Edition
- Lair
- Folklore
- Ridge Racer 7
- Genji: Days of the Blade
Slated to sell for €40 (that’s US$ 63.21) each, it’s definitely clear that we’ll be getting the most bang for our buck if we wait for the Platinum Hits version of a certain game to roll out, instead of shelling out a lot at release day. Of course, camping out and splurging for that must-have game isn’t a bad idea either, as while Sony may have confirmed the Platinum Range, they haven’t confirmed anything else yet – and that includes when it’ll show up. In any case, updates as we get them.
