EverQuest II Legends of Norrath qualifiers this Saturday

EverQuest II‘s toughest, meanest warriors better get ready because on Saturday all hell will break loose in the 2008 Legends of Norrath monthly qualifying tournament. Registration is free of charge, and the top 16 at the end of day one will duke it out in a playoff-style tourney the next day. Find out what’s at stake in the detailed version.

EverQuest II warriors prepare! Your favorite massively multiplayer online RPG will hold the December Legends of Norrath Championships and it’s set to begin at 10:00 AM PST this Saturday on December 15, Saturday.

The Qualifying Championships will be held across two days with the top 16 contenders advancing to day two. Players will then face off in a Match Play Swiss tournament with the top two players being left at the end of the day to battle it out in a winner-takes all match.

At stake is the honor of victory, a “bye” status at the 2008 edition of the Legends of Norrath Championships, cash prizes and travel accommodations. To get down and dirty with the details, here’s the complete list:

• 1st Place: US$ 500, “Bye” into the 2008 Legends of Norrath Championships, paid air travel to Gen Con Indy, 4-day Gen Con Indy badge, and the winner’s likeness on an upcoming Legends of Norrath game card
• 2nd Place: US$ 750
• 3rd – 5th Place: US$ 400
• 6th – 11th Place: US$ 200
• 12th – 15th Place: US$ 75
• 16th Place: US$ 50
