Developer ez2dxa has released ez2dj Portable Public Demo 0.2, a new homebrew rhythm game for the PlayStation Portable. Those who enjoy fast and furious button timing rhythm games are sure to get a kick out of this demo.

This homebrew game is actually closer to an emulator since it allows you to play .bms files which you can download off the Net. This means that you aren’t necessarily restricted to playing the ez2dj songs included in the game.

You can download songs from the Japanese, Korean, or Chinese version of the rhythm MMO game DJMAX and play them using ez2dj Portable. And as an added bonus, ez2dj Portable also supports custom skins while you spin those tunes on your virtual turntable.

As a final note, the developer mentions that the homebrew game will not support LongNote since ez2dj Portable was based on the JzBmsPlayer. Everyone can expect the Beta version to come out soon with added features to step up the gameplay for all the hopeful DJs out there.

In any case, if you’re interested in seeing this upbeat rhythm game in action, you can check out the video below.
