Famitsu lists Resident Evil 0 for Wii release
While we only have Famitsu‘s listing of releases to drool over, we couldn’t help but share that Biohazard 0 somehow made it to the line-up of the Nintendo Wii’s summer line-up. There are no details or anything, so our money is on a direct port of the original GameCube title. See the full article for more on our speculations.
The latest issue of the prominent Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed interesting tidbits that caught our attention. Aside from the excitement of playing a Japanese version of The Orange Box as early as May, our feet went off the ground when a certain Biohazard 0 (Resident Evil 0 in the west) appeared in the list of summer releases in the land of the rising sun.
It is difficult to imagine a full remake of Capcom‘s Resident Evil 0 from the GameCube having no publicity at all, so we’re guessing it’s one of those direct ports like Resident Evil 2 and 3 from PlayStation to GameCube. However, if it will receive completely new controls in the veins of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, it’s definitely a mystery why we haven’t heard of Resident Evil 0 on Wii before.
Another possible conclusion to this strange listing is that Famitsu made an honest typographical error. While we can’t count out such mistake, it’s definitely nice to believe that Yakuza 3 got a stellar 37 score (10/9/9/9) and Kane & Lynch are going to Japan. Our eyes are peeled for any official Nintendo announcements, so watch this space for updates!
