Famitsu scans reveal first Yakuza 3 details
For those of us who absolutely loved the gritty trek through the Japanese underworld that Yakuza‘s original PS2 titles delivered, then rejoice, as Christmas has indeed come early for PS3 owners all over. Yes, the next-gen sequel that’s been whispered about in corners is confirmed, and not only that, but it’s pretty much looking well on its way, as these scans from Famitsu of Sega‘s Yakuza 3 will show.
One thing we’re so giddy about it? It’s set in the Edo time period, which means only one thing: lots of combat involving long, sharp metal objects called katanas. Awesome!
Looking at the scans, the graphics are looking very detailed and very lush, with environments highly-populated and garments very elaborate. We also see that the glamorous lifestyle of the Yakuza is in full swing with this title, what with the usual pipe-smoking, sake drinking, and geisha-consorting. And of course, the usual random act of sword-related violence or two.
Move over, other gangland giants. The Yakuza is here to take over. Enjoy the scans!
