With barely three weeks left until the Suda 51-directed Fatal Frame hits Wiis in Japan, Tecmo has updated the game’s official website with some character profiles.
Of the four characters profiled on the website, three are survivors of a group kidnapping incident that happened on Rougetsu Island when they were children. Five children were kidnapped originally, but now only three of them are alive.
These three are Ruka Minazuki, who is returning to the island after ten years in order to regain her lost memories (she’s the piano-playing girl in the scans we posted a while back); Misaki Asou, who is guided towards the island by a girl dressed in black; and Madoka Tsukimori, a weak-willed girl who was made to go by Misaki.
Along for the ride is Choushiro Kirishima, a former prosecutor who originally saved the kidnapped girls. He’s now running a detective service and has been asked by Ruka’s mother to follow Ruka to Rougetsu Island.
So far, both Ruka and Choushiro have been confirmed as playable characters. Hopefully we’ll get more details as the game edges ever closer to its July 31 Japanese release.
