Now, you have more and more choices when it comes to running NES games on your Nintendo Wii. This time around we bring you homebrew developer suloku‘s FCEUltra Rev22 Test 3. It’s a NES emulator which can support your nunchuk and wiimote.
If you’d been observing closely, you’ll find that Wiimote support is now the trend when it comes to Wii homebrew. The FCE Ultra candidate 6 NES emulator we reported on a few days back has this feature – as well as the emulators GenPlus for SEGA Genesis and the ScummVM for LucasArts adventure games.
With the homebrew emulator FCEUltra Rev22 Test 3, homebrew coder Suloku’s notes how amusing it is to control Mario with two different pads all at once. Here are the features straight from dev Suloku:
Almost all working:
- No turbo
- No psoreload (working) combo
- Added classic controller stick and nunchuk+wiimote configuration
Homebrew developer Suloku’s FCEUltra Rev22 Test 3 was made using the nullex modified code and is derived from the open source project of coder Askot (who also has a NES emulator). Dev Suloku notes that FCEUltra Rev22 Test 3 “is not meant to be merged with svn, the code needs to be added properly to maintain gc version.”
Make sure to check all attached readme files and to be fully aware of what you are doing before you proceed with this homebrew emulator. Remember, safety first!
