Many gamers have been getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of updates for Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Well, it looks like the long wait is over.
In an interview with Famitsu magazine, Character Designer Tetsuya Nomura said that 2008 will be the year when they release lots of new information regarding the game.
He started this off by announcing that Square Enix is planning on releasing a demo of the game to give players a chance to try out the battle system. Unfortunately, Nomura didn’t give an exact date when the demo will be released. We’re going to keep our eyes peeled for more information on this.
We were also able to get our hands on a few scans of the the Famitsu magazine where Nomura was interviewed. While we’re pretty sure that there’s more information in the scans, our Japanese is a bit rusty and our in-house translator is still on vacation so we can’t give you a definitive take on what else was revealed.
Whether or not you can read Japanese though, Final Fantasy XIII fans should check out the scans. There are some pretty good shots of the characters from the game that might catch your attention.
