Saboteur launch moved back for next EA fiscal year

Saboteur - Image 1Saboteur (Xbox 360, PS3) won’t be making a splash on Q1 of 2009 as originally expected. Pandemic and EA’s freedom-fighting action-adventure title has been pushed back to the next fiscal year. Read up on it more after the jump.

Saboteur - Image 1Unfortunately, we’ve got another title that’s been delayed. This time, it’s EA and Pandemic’s freedom-fighter action-adventure title for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Sabotuer. Let’s just say it’s been ironically “sabotaged”, yes?

Instead of joining ht list of EA’s impressive second-quarter releases list that went beyond the million-unit mark, Saboteur (Xbox 360, PS3) will have to make a name for itself the next fiscal year of 2010, which runs from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

The game was originally slated for a Q1 2009 release window. In fact, it was only last June that EA firmly stated that the game, along with Dragon Age, will be coming out before April of next year. Now we know that’s not gonna be the case.

No reason has been given for the delay, but speculation is high that maybe it’s got something to do with Pandemic being all busy with Mercenaries 2, or maybe LotR: Conquest for multiplatforms.

It’s just a guess, though. But we’ll be keeping you posted in case any more updates on this news comes out.
