Fight Night returns with Champion

Ready to jump into the ring again? EA Sports has just announced the next iteration of their Fight Night boxing franchise, Fight Night Champion.

 

Gameplay producer Brian Hayes describes Champion as both the most user-friendly entry in the series and the most realistic thanks to the new “Full Spectrum Punch Control” system. Online is still there along with some new features, but apparently the single-player mode is where the game shines.

 

“Fight Night Champion will break the mold of what is expected in a single-player sports game,” said Hayes. “Players will be introduced to an entirely new way to step between the ropes and experience the drama, emotion, excitement and tragedy of world championship boxing.”

 

Players will get their pick from between 60 to 65 boxers in Champion. EA will be divulging more details in the coming months. Expect the game on store shelves next year on PS3 and Xbox 360.
